The Ravello Duomo or Cathedral dates back to the 11th century. Its facade has two bronze doors, a fine craft by Barisano of Trani, which date back to the year 1179.
The interior is elegant with white marbles and cream colors. Fabulous Byzantine mosaics on its two pulpits are evidence of the wealth and prestige Ravello possessed when it was an independent republic with 30,000 people. Plenty of sunlight and charming atmosphere: it is the ideal setting for small and large size groups. |
