Founded in the 12th century as a starting point for religious pilgrims it became a monastery and re-built in current shape in the 17th century. It has been recently restored to achieve a truly luxurious hotel preserving its ancient origins with frescoes and impressive Renaissance facade, as well as marble, silk wall coverings, Murano chandeliers and voluminous curtains that abound in its spacious public spaces and airy corridors where sunlight streams in.

Three restaurants: an elegant one offering refined à la carte menu as well as a magnificent view of San Marco; a more sober restaurant with a Venetian flair atmosphere and an informal restaurant located near the swimming pool for a buffet reception or a cocktail.
